Sept 19  “Restoring Spiral Movement to the Body” is about re-educating brain, nervous system, muscles to their full movement potential, and giving back the body’s ability to turn, twist and move with freedom. We need spirals for many every day activities, including seeing behind you while biking or driving. 

Sept 26 “Changing Kyphosis and Lordosis” focusses on the front and back of the spine and torso in a variety of positions, from floor, to all 4s, to standing. If your upper body is curved too far forward, that’s excessive kyphosis. If your low back is very arched, that’s excessive Lordosis. We can improve both with these techniques. 

Oct 3 “Somatics for more enjoyable hiking and walking” uses these great movement re-education methods for more control, balance, ease to walking and hiking. Bring the pleasure and sensuality back to one of our most basic and useful movements. 

2 time options:

What you will need: comfortable, flexible clothing, a chair, a mat or other padding for the floor, several towels or blankets folded as props, and a quiet place for your somatic movement practice. Practice setting up your device so that I can see all of you on your mat. Avoid back lighting like a bright window.

Location: Online zoom platform. A link will be sent to you prior to class.

Policy for Late Arrivals: Kindly arrive at least 5 min prior to the start of class. Late arrivals after the start of class may not be admitted. It is distracting to the class, teacher, and recording process. If you are late and not admitted, you will have access to the audio recording the next day.
